2026 Lotte Lenya Competition Application

Eligibility:
        Open to singing actors of all nationalities born after 1 January 1993 and before 1 March 2007 (c. 19-32).


Application Deadline: 4 February 2026.


Repertoire:
        Contestants must prepare a video with all four selections, total duration not to exceed 15 minutes:
 

  • A theatrical selection (any genre) by Kurt Weill;
  • A song from a Golden Age (pre-1968) musical;
  • A song from a contemporary musical, 1968 or later;
  • A selection from an opera or operetta.

Each contestant must also upload their headshot, resume and proof of age (driver’s license, passport or other government ID) with their online application form.
